630 Chartres Street. In the French Quarter, right next to Jackson Square.

Lovely store, lovely people. It's small, but boy do they pack a ton in there. Every person in the store is knowledgable and helpful. They don't always push the most expensive yarns at you, they'll help you find affordable yarns that fit your pattern, or needs.

It's also a needle point shop with a huge range of silk threads.

The attention to detail follows all the way through to the way they pack up your order. It's like getting a birthday gift, confetti and ribbons abound.

Well, if I have to go back to NOLA for a hurricane, I'll know where to go when I'm not in the kitchen...

I know exactly where it is.. The only question is, when you're standing at the Cafe du Monde looking toward Jackson Square, and the St. Louis Cathedral, is it in the group of store fronts on the left, or on the right?

DS is going to NOLA in December.
Christmas shopping for mom?
Probably not as the trip is a Lend a Hand project through his college. I don't see them staying in the French Quarter.
Oh well!!
