I almost forgot it was on-got dates mixed but went today.
They had some amazing quilts on display - some had been on display on the US as well. I was truly amazed by some of the work that's put into these quilts + the ideas are so great - I found it really inspiring in a creative way.
The place was really packed with quilters!! And we had the 1st hot sunny day so indoors it was baking!!
And yes I did succumb and bought some material - so hard not to at something like that. Going to attempt to make my 1st actual quilt. I've been making the quilted bags/quilted cushions etc - just small items but going to jump in the deep end now Rolling Eyes
Not going to rush it - it will be long term project

Good for you. Glad you had sun, cool and damp here, this week. Have you a particular pattern in mind?

Sounds great. I love looking at quilts. Not so keen on sewing.

I bought a panel with peacocks that I'm going to use as my centre and then choose fabrics to match in with the panel - have no idea how it will turn out!

Yep lots of jewel colours Very Happy
Need some very pale turquoise fabric to tone it down though & can't find any!! been in about 6 shops so far with no luck
Next week I'm starting cutting out my pieces so going to try again tomorrow
- good excuse to go shopping Smile
