Well didn't get as much done as I'd hoped in Feb!
Working mainly on my 'click' yarn sweater - nearly finished sleeves - then need to join pieces together for the yoke.

Had to disappear off to son's to help with grandchildren at end of Feb until yesterday so not much done in last 2 weeks

Grrr I've had to frog my sweater at start of yoke 4 (!!) times and it's 384 stitches in 1 row
I decided there was mistake on pattern so took it to knitting group for their opinion. They agreed!! I've been knitting straight for sleeves, front & back - now got to join & knit in the round - but the pattern hasn't changed the pattern rows if that makes sense. There's quite a bit of cabling as well!

I've checked on Internet and the pattern isn't anywhere so can't see if there were any errata - (I've had the pattern about 10 years!)

So - I've decided to work backwards and forwards using the pattern I been doing and I'll do a join on the back shoulder 'bit' Will just have to fit in the decreases.
Just so annoying that these patterns aren't checked better. It's by an Irish yarn company that doesn't exist anymore so can't contact them.
Still - we wouldn't want knitting to be boring would we Smile

No, no, let's keep things interesting.
When I am in a similar situation it does two things for me: I pay more attention to what I am doing and double check more often, and it makes me appreciate the finished project more.

That's what I'm doing now - checking often! I've put stitch markers between each 20sts which is width of each 'trellis' bit of pattern.
I've worked 2 complete rows and it looks ok - but I keep checking now all the time - as you say - I will appreciate it when its finished
Will post pic soon

Very irritating but at least you have the skill to adjust.

Way to "stick with it", Hils. Would have gone to my naughty corner for a very long time.

Haven't done much on my sweater - got diverted to my embroidery as I had to have the piece finished by 30th March. It was hand embroidery so have been working at it in the evening instead of knitting Embarassed

Back to knitting in April though

Absolutely no reason to feel bad, you just do what you enjoy doing and set your own priorities. Thus is the benefit of not being employed!
