I'm making a sweater for the youngest DD. (The MacGowan pullover from the Winter 1016 Interweave Knits). The instructions read "work Back Lace chart over 25 sts." The back lace chart shows 16 sts but there is a 9 st repeat which makes the 25 sts I'm supposed to work across. So the first 9 sts of the row are the pattern repeat. I assume I will work the first 9 sts and then repeat them and then work the remaining sts of the row. Is that right?

It sounds like that from what you've said.

Hmmm I'm not sure. Looking at the picture of the back of the sweater on Ravelry might give you a better idea. It seems to me that you have three cable sections with lace between. That should help you work out which bit of pattern goes where.

It's a lovely sweater.

Yes, thank you. The sweater is coming along nicely so far. I am using my new Caspian short tip inter-changeable needles from Knit Picks. Really like them a lot!
