But I have done a complete pattern repeat and there are no mistakes in the pattern or anything and when you get into it, you can 'read' your knitting which makes it easier. I'm hoping to be somewhere near finished by next month, ready to start the next 2 knit-a-longs.
Knit knit knit. Can you see the smoke coming off my needles? |
Well that makes me feel better...by the time you finish your other two KALs, I should be through with the Bird's Nest... _________________ Have a mice day. |

Well, I'm embarrassed to admit that I've finished it already It just sort of happened. I found it a very enjoyable knit so I just kept going. It's blocking on a bucket now. I'll post pics soon. _________________ Yvonne

I am so happy to hear that...as I am slogging away ...but I am going to get this finished to wear next winter... Now, when I get stuck, I can just ask you... Can hardly wait for the pics...that should be encouraging. _________________ Have a mice day. |

Here it is. It covers the gap at the back of the neck nicely. I'll be nice and warm when the March winds blow.

It's not a very difficult knit at all but if I did it again, I would use 4 ply/fingering as specified instead of the DK I used. It would be nicer if it looked more delicate.
I think I'm beginning to prefer more delicate looking knits. _________________ Yvonne

Yvonne - thats really pretty - well done for finishing!
I agree about the delicate knits - they do look so nice - just a bit wearing on the hands though I find. |
