I wonder, never having made a Log Cabin Blanket, ala Mason Dixon, if you could use scraps or whether that would actually take more than I think to compete it. I suppose after you get onto the longer stripes you are using quite a bit of yarn.

I have been thinking of using the same technique, and leftover sock yarn to make a scarf. I'm not sure how it will work, but I'll give it a go!

I have used 1 1/2 balls each of Lorna Worsted and O-Wool yarn and my blanket measures 23 1/2" square. I think I will probably use 2 more balls of each. Does that help with the size?

I do have lots of odds and ends.
I have that book too. I never thought about that a new log cabin afagan. pinkroses2
