| My handwork students and i are knitting simple comfort dolls. They use up small amounts of yarn and are very fast to make. If you go to my blog you will find the project and the pattern. http://www.bigyarnmama.blogspot.com |

Heather that's a great project and the dolls are very cute.
I also happened to find a similar pattern this morning when I was browsing through the NEW section of www.knittingpatterncentral.com - the pattern is for Rainbow Babies by Jeane Greenhowe. They are very similar to your dolls, only they have outstretched arms. (see link below, which opens a PDF file)

| Do you remember my mum's Nativity Set I posted at Christmastime - it was from a Jean Greenhowe book. Aren't the little dolls sweet - both sets. |

I know this is a very old thread but those dolls are soo cute, they could be used in many situations. I'm thinking hospital, ambulance, disaster situations. There are many stressful moments in a childs life when a soft smiling doll's face is a welcome cuddle object. That is a great idea and a great way to use up bits n tails of yarn. _________________ knitting blog - http://knancy-knitter.blogspot.com/
