It's almost April. Is anybody planning on trying any double knitting?

You can find a brief description here, and if you google, you'll come up with lots more information.

I'm still working my way through my cable patterns, but plan to start a Bubble Scarf over the weekend.

Maybe I'll pick back up the double knitting that I've already got started...

I have gotten the yarn I want to do the double knitting with. I want to make a hot pad and I got Easter colors for it. Next, to find a pattern.

I found a good tutorial on double knitting that explained things very well to me. Hope it helps someone else.

I would love to try it, but don't really have time this month. I am still working on other WIP. Can't wait to see what everyone else does. Very Happy

I don't have time to join this one. I have a couple of time limited projects on the go.

Will look forward to seeing everyone else's though.

It took me rather longer to get round to starting than I anticipated, but yesterday I worked the swatch for my Bubbles scarf.

It's not perfect, but I'm still pleased with the way it turned out. I'm planning to start the scarf today - now that I've re-wound the dark coloured yarn so that I can work both balls from the centre, and start with my favourite colour (and have a rather more stable ball - it managed to get a little lop-sided).

(Pre re-winding, I'll be starting with the purple.)

Here you go...

I've had a few setbacks - like the fact that the dark yarn is more tightly spun than the light, and getting confused with the chart so that I'm now working this with right and wrong side rows being read the opposite way round - but I'm enjoying it.

We had a long weekend here for Easter last weekend, and have another on this weekend, so I'm hoping to crack on with it a fair bit over the next few days. I think I'm currently about a quarter of the way through, but will have to make up a few more bubbles to knit at the end as my tension is slightly off.

In spite of your trials and tribulations, that is knitting up quite spectacularly. Very Happy I think you will wear it proudly.
