Perfect use for bits and oddballs... and also a wonderful excuse to add to your stash with just one ball of that soooo precious yarn that no one could afford to make a whole garment with it. Check out Prudence Mapstone's site at Knot Just Knitting and try it for yourself. You will soon be addicted as I am. So many things to try, so little time.

If you are used to only using patterns, it might take a little push to give freeform knitting a try, but it's worth getting out of your box for this stuff. if you edit or design your own patterns, you probably have already heard of it. It's great for beginners too, since there are no mistakes, just "design decisions."
