I have a few more finished projects to share.
First up are the scarves I've made to send to Vermont.
All knitted from Lorna's Laces Shepherd Worsted (L-R Motherlode, Huron and Pioneer), using a stitch pattern that I adapted from a sock I knitted recently.
These three were knitted using James C Brett Marble Chunky. I had hoped to finish all three using only one ball of each colour, but had to scrounge a few yards from a second. _________________

You all know me - I'm always knitting socks. So, not to disappoint you all, here are my latest.
Tatami Socks, from Knitted Socks East and West, knitting in Mountain Colours Twizzle. I love this pattern, and it's the one that inspired the scarves.
Dumbeldores Christmas Stockings, knitted in Opal's Hedwig colourway (it might just be me, but it doesn't really make me think of a snowy owl!). There are two different pattern options, and I decided to make one sock with each. As I was re-reading the Harry Potter books, I realised that Dobby would appreciate that. _________________

I agree - busy fingers
I love the last lot of socks - they look so warm & should be useful for 'pottering' in |

Thank you all. It's taken a while - I think the first of those projects was started in December!!!
I have to say, though, that since finishing the baby blankets, I seem to have been knitting a lot more. Next time I volunteer to knit for twins, I think I'll pick something quicker. _________________

Kathryn, those are lovely projects you have posted. You must feel very proud.
Those baby blankets are precious. I am sure the mum will love and cherish them. _________________ Have a mice day. |
