I have a tip.
I love to use the cotton yarn. Sugars and Cream and Peaches and Creame.
When I have several colors.
I make Grannie squares. and add each color much like when you make a Granny square for a afagan.
I have several.
Good way to use up the cotton yarn
When I make these I make the traditional granny square the first round.
Then, I don't add any inbetween the 3 double crochets. expect in each corner; so as the corners will be right
I don't like "Holey Discloths" . forgive the holey, ha. Pinkroses2

I also have a dishcloth pattern, knit from corner to corner, with row of purl at the half way point. I'll knit one side in one color then change at the midway point. If I use them for general cleaing, not care what the colors are.
