Nony and I are planning to start a KAL on this pattern on Nov. 1. Anyone who would like to join us is more than welcome...

Personally, I will not be using qiviut (since it's sooooooo expensive). I'm spinning up some natural shetland in a fine laceweight...

And Nony already had several skeins of laceweight that seemed to call out to this pattern... Laughing

And if I am careful to work it into my holiday knitting, I should have them all done by the right time and/or really cold weather time. Wink

I like the idea of the wimple better than a hat... I'm thinking I won't get feedback in my hearing aids quite as bad as I would with a hat over my ears.. and no "hat hair"...

That looks really pretty. I look forward to seeing your pieces. I think I want one, but I'm not sure yet when I will knit one. It's soooo pretty!
...

I'm back to say I'M IN! I found a beautiful skein of soft sock yarn in grey and blue that would be perfect for this project. I will use what's left to knit my nephew socks Laughing

We're officially starting on Nov. 1... (if I can wait that long)... So welcome aboard!!! I'm so glad y'all decided to join us.

I'm going to be using some Shetland laceweight that I spun on my drop spindle. The buffalo sounds yummy... but it's a long way out of my price range right now... But, I did put it on my Christmas list... Very Happy

I'm very, very tempted... I love the stitch pattern and have some alpaca/merino or alpaca/silk fingering weight which wold be lovely... now how to elbow this into the Christmas list!

Well, I've got a couple of days to work it out!
Happy knitting!
