Knitwitty....I know you're not going to want to hear this....but, I just checked your registration form and ..... so far....no avatar.

Did yo copy the url and paste it to your profile page?

Read Kathryn's directions again and see if you did all the steps.....

Deep breath~~~~~~~~~~~

Don't feel dumb. I haven't even given it a try for fear of not being able to do it and getting frustrated. At least you're trying Very Happy .

Is the size within the limit? Thats usually my problem when I want to use avatars and I always have to resize them, it's often a different size limit on various forums Smile

Okay you two....Kathryn is away this week; so you just have me. Let's see if we can make this happen.

Can each of you post the picture you want to use as an avatar in this thread and then I'll see if I can get them up for you.

Let's be brave....whatever I mess up Kathyrn can fix when she gets back. Very Happy

That is fantastic. Now I'm jealous. I will try it too, if I can EVER get away from these darn dishcloths.

And.....I'll bet Kathryn will be happy to not have to come back from holiday and fix whatever I messed up trying to get these avatars on for you.....it's bad enough I don't keep up with the 'pretend' new members who apply.......she usually deletes them before anyone even knows they're here.

I may have to double her salary....let's see....Knitting Haven pays her nothing.....so, nothing times two is.....????

Very Happy

Is posting the thread to you just giving you the URL? If so, here it is....

I'm going to try once more, right now, but if it doesn't work, it's all in your hands Holly Laughing !

don't be mad... I got it in on the first try. All I did was right click on the photo that you wanted as your avatar, and clicked properties. I copied the URL from there and then added it to my profile, and clicked update. By chance when you are trying to upload, are you including the [img] tag as well? If so, don't.
