Ok.. so I started working on the lace shawl that I got from Twist Collective a while back.. The pattern says to work Chart 2 nine times.. and for the life of me, I couldn't wrap my head around it, cause it looked like there weren't enough stitches to accomodate the repeat... until I figured out that it would add the number of stitches needed... DUH!!!
This is going to take a while, cause I'm working in real laceweight yarn, and, I don't have a time limit... But so far, so good.. _________________

I'm doing it in this..
The only issue I have is that my fingers are blue after I work on it.. so it has a lot of excess dye... _________________

ooo! That is lovely yarn! I bet the shawl is gorgeous. Just don't go work with a white or cream yarn after working with the blue! _________________ A Bug's Life: http://lobug.blogspot.com/ |

That is just glorious! I love it and the colour yarn you are knitting it in also.
I MUST try doing a lacy shawl one day soon! _________________ Pammi |

With reference to the colour coming off on your hands, I had a similar problem with a hand-dyed yarn from Cherry Tree Hill. When I enquired about it I was told that it is to do with the number of molecules in a turquoise dye and the fact that they never can be made fast. This wasn't too much of a problem for me and the shawl that I was knitting but it was something interesting to know about.
A few months later my god-daughter who owns her own beauty salon was complaining about the tops that she and her staff wear at work were fading and yet they were not many weeks old. Yes, they were turquoise and it seems that they were not colour fast either.
You live and learn every day. |

You know, as experienced as we all are, we sometimes do and think the silliest things? LOL Lovely colour you have chosen for the shawl. _________________ Pammi |

Ok.. so I put this shawl in a 'safe' place.. when I had to set it aside for more pressing matters... Well, the other day, I began to wonder where it was, since I want to get it back in the queue... After several days of pondering, and poking... I FOUND IT!!! It was right where I left it... I need to make a list..
