This is waaayyy scaled back from last year! Last year I did a cardigan for my mom, 10 pairs of mittens (on straights Rolling Eyes !), and 10 hats.

I hope to finish baby #1's cardigan this weekend. It's a very fast knit, once I learned to sit back and trust the pattern. I'll BO the first sleeve yet tonight. Then I just have to do the second sleeve and seam it together! Very Happy

BTW, the reason I'm calling them baby #1 & baby #2 is because they aren't born yet. #1 is due in the next few days and #2 is due at the beginning of November.

It looks like you are moving right along. It's unfortunate that you have had to be home, but maybe you can squeeze in a little more knitting time.

I do have a pattern but I vary them so everyone isn't getting the same. I usually cast on 8 stitches and then switch between garter stitch, seed stitch, and a few new stitches I found in a knitting glossary. (add or subtract sts depending on the pattern repeat if you're branching out.) For kids, I've been knitting for 14 inches and then binding off, stitching the 2 ends together, and Voila! For me, I do 16 inches. Oh, I've been using size 8 needles.

Here's a link that has a ton of headband patterns:
