I like those a lot, too, Kathryn. Perhaps when I get all of the mittens finished for the kids, the test knit I have to do, and a hat for Anna, I will dedicate myself to making mitts. Laughing

You are keeping busy!

I'm going to cast on my socks tomorrow, and hope that it's light enough to knit in the car on the way home from work during the week (don't worry - hubby's driving!).

[quote="Yvonne"]I would like to knit a pair of plain, ordinary gloves with fingers if I can find a pattern.

Good timing! I just started a pair of wool, fingered gloves to wear while delivering newspapers in the cold and wet.

I still didn't find the pattern for these, but at the link above is the picture I saw of the Bella ones. It looks like the pattern only repeats 3 times. (I'd like them to be at least an inch longer down the fingers though.)

Start time - Two weeks works for me. That would be Saturday, January 16?

This is going to send my addiction in a whole new direction! Lillybee, I really like those mitts, and I have quite a bit of Aran weight to work with. Those are also going on the list.

Everyone is finding fantastic patterns. I would like to make at least three of them.

As usual KM your Fair Isle blows me away. My Knit Picks order just arrived yesterday and part of it is Alice Starmore's book of Fair Isle Knitting. Shocked I'm out looking for my knitting courage. Wink

I just finished a shawl for my MIL birthday and have nothing pressing to complete. Two weeks works very nicely for me.

Oh those are sooo pretty and I get distracted so easily! Smile Will just have to put that pattern in the notebook for later and concentrate on the ones I originally planned to make here for now. (There seems to be something really striking about all the ones done in white that I've looked at.) And yes, knitting fingerless mitts is addicting for me too.

Laughing

This will be the perfect opportunity for me to complete the wool I acquired last year (just uncovered Laughing ). My daughter works at DD and I love my dunkin. After seeing the girls at the drive thru freezing their little hands, I devised some fingerless mitts in the DD colors for them. Needless to say they still wear them, and could use more. Think I will publish this pattern and finish up the wool. Will work great as the KAL ? I actually have had people call me for some of these after going thru the DD drive thru...LOL

Two weeks would be good for me. I'll be somewhere near finished DIL's waistcoat by then.

I might even have found a pattern. It's really difficult finding one for gloves with fingers that is knit in the round.

Eta: been on ravelry queing possibles. Looked at about 30 pages out of 117. Think one of those should do. Very Happy

Thank you for editing that Kathryn. (I didn't know why it wasn't showing up. Can you delete the duplicate or tell me how to?)

CyndyW, I think we agreed to begin this KAL on January 16.
