That is absolutely gorgeous! I love the colors and the pattern. Which pattern did you use again?

It's Swallowtail Shawl by Evelyn Clark.. It is a purchased download...

Gotcha. I will be checking that one out. I'm on a very serious lace-gathering kick lately.

Thank you all so much for the kind comments... I really enjoyed this shawl and it wasn't difficult at all.. There are nupps.. but I figured out how to do them without tearing my hair out... What I did was to slip the nupp stitches to my right needle until only two were left.. I purled those two together. Then, without completing the stitch, I slipped the remaining nupp stitches onto the stitch... It was a bit slow, but worked out great.. and I wasn't trying to purl5tog... Shocked

I didn't actually knit this as part of the KAL, (I wore it to the show in London), but I thought I'd post the pictures here anyway.

I bought the yarn and pattern at Fibrefest last summer. It's a 5-ply cotton - 2 of black, and 1 each of yellow, pink and turquoise.

(Click to enlarge, and thanks to Lillybee for the first photo.)

That is beautiful. I can quite understand why you bought that yarn. Shocked

Beautiful shawl GA. I had never done anything with nupps before but am doing a shawl KAL on Ravelry and the March clue had nupps that required purl7tog. Fortunately I was behind on my clues as someone posted that they were slipping the first 6, purling the last stitch then slipping the first 6 stitches over the purled stitch. Worked wonderful and nupps came out great.

I really like the colors Kathryn.

I have finished knitting my lace project, it just needs blocking now. I used the yarn that I received in the magic ball swap and completed my first Forest Canopy Shawl!!!

Kathryn that's a beautiful shawl. The colors are wonderful. How did the cotton block for you?

Tay -- woohoo your first FCS? That's great.
