For me, it's my kids. I stay up way too late every night so that I can have some private time. Then, I get up at 5 in the morning to have a little more quiet time before the thundering herd hits. That is why I am chronically sleep deprived and grouchy.

Rat has gotten interested (read addicted to) in Sudoku...keeps him busy...sometimes, too busy. Confused

But, it does give me a time to knit quietly. Smile

Mine too. I wish he'd do more of it. Smile

At Town Meeting on Tues., someone backed into our car. Big dent. He's going nuts about it - Had to deal with the body shop to get an estimate, deal with the ins. appraiser and also fill out a report for the police. YES, it's too bad and YES it's taken time, but you'd think someone died! It's a pretty old vehicle in the first place and I told him, "look it could have been worse, better the car got hit than one of us." Plus, I did the exact same thing a couple of years ago - backed into another vehicle in almost the same spot. Stuff happens, I hope he gets over it pretty soon. Smile

Our car was parked - we weren't even in the car at the time. Rolling Eyes

Not the best picture ever, but you can see the diamonds taking shape. I am really enjoying the process.

Honestly, I have to say it is not a color I would have chosen myself. But, I am looking forward to wearing this shawl with a black turtleneck and a long, slim black skirt. I think it would be very elegant, without being super dressed up.

I'm going to join you guys! I'm getting ready to cast-on for the "198 yards of Heaven" shawl.

I like the color. I think it will look good the way you suggest wearing it.

Lookin' good KM. The color brings back memories. Our school colors were Old Gold and Black. Your shawl is turning out wonderful.

Do socks count? There's an element of feather and fan work in my latest project, which is January's club sock from the Knit Love Club ( formerly Socktopus ). The yarn is Alchemy Juniper, and the colour is growing on me Wink
