I cast on & did about 3inches of what will be my cable project - then got side-tracked to finish my baby sleeping bag as baby due in May - then also had to start my boat jerkin to see how far my yarn would go in case I need to buy more before my dyelot sells out - then grandaughters asked me when their tops would be finished.... it goes on - then I read this thread & feel better now Very Happy we're all as bad as one another lol
So I'll join both KALs as well!

Though I don't think it will be finished by the end of May!

I may forego the cables... I have sooooooo many UFO's floating about my house (don't I always).. I'm going to try and get them under control... Wish me luck..

I'm sure I have another project or two around here, but it must've been awhile since I worked on them as I can't remember what they could be.

Now I remember!!

A tangerine-colored sweater (it's about 1/4 done)
A Knit Picks Palette Fair Isle cardigan (also about 1/4 done)

Those are a couple of my UFOs - there may be more!

Neither of these will be worked on in May. I do want to finish them at some point, but they are not high-priority.

I've cast on a sweater for Theo, with cables. I work on that while I watch the snooker on TV as a change from my waistcoat. And I'm all set to cast on the Triangles in a Triangle shawl and the Roof Ridge socks in my new sock book.

I seem to have a bad case of startitis at the moment too. It must be because it's Spring or perhaps because it's election, election, election on TV, not that I'm not interested, because I am, but you don't actually need to watch it, do you?

I think it is so funny to hear the reaction of the Brits to the televised debates. We are so used to it here. We are barraged with it from about August until the election in November. We get tired of it, too, because the commercials are so ridiculous and, sometimes, vicious.

I've always found it strange to hear so much about the Presidential elections when we've been on holiday, and it isn't for months. I suppose that may have something to do with the fact that the Presidency is a fixed term, but the Prime Minister has a maximum term, but could call an election at any point before that if they wanted to.

I managed to knit 2.5 rows on the Inishturk this morning. My elbow is a bit twingy, but that is probably all the knitting I will get to do today anyway. It felt so good to knit again! Very Happy

The sweater I'm doing for Theo as my KAL project, because it would be quick and my cabled yoke cardigan is a long term project, is turning out to be not so quick after all. I seem to undo as much as I knit.

It's this one with the collar.

I'm all right with the bottom half of the diamonds but make a mess of the top half every time.

Wait a min, my last needle purchase (a full set of interchangable Harmonys) has not even arrived yet (due very shortly). How can I justify yet another set??? I'll be finished my last fingerfree mitt shortly, then I can attack my cable attempt.

I'm doing a Coin Lace and Cable Wrap. I had gotten the pattern as a free one on Elann but can't find it on their site anymore. Sure glad I printed when I found it.
