Thank you, and yes, I am thrilled to have them finished. Another WIP off the needles!

One sock finished, second one cast on.

I don't think I'll quite get them finished this month but shouldn't be too much longer.

I'm hoping to finish my first sock tonight, and work on the second in between some test knitting for Lobug.

Kudos ladies, they all look great. I'm envious of the talent here. Perhaps some time soon I'll try socks again. Some time soon. . .

These socks have fought back all the way. I'll be so glad to get them finished.

This morning I picked up for the instep on my second sock with no problems and started the first round of shaping. When I got round, there was a space where there shoud have been 4 stitches picked up from the heel flap.

How on earth they got away I don't know. I managed to pick them up again without undoing the sock but I think I got something wrong somewhere as I think I'm a stitch out with the decrease for the gusset. I have the same no.of stitches from the start of the round to the stitches for the leg on each side but it doesn't quite look right.

Hopefully one stitch won't make too much difference because I'm not doing it again.

This has not been a relaxing knit, it has been a trial by fire.

If they're too uncomfortable to wear they can go in the bin. I've had enough!!!

I just joined, and I would love to do the Sock KAL, but it is a July project. Is it too late to do the Sock KAL? Hope not, I really want to do it. Question

I should think so. Some people are still knitting them. I have finished mine but not posted a pic yet.

Our KALs tend to be very easy going affairs and there is no time limit or anything like that.

Welcome to the forum. Looking forward to hearing a bit more about you.

It's never too late! Some of us do KAL's long after they are finished, and we happily post our results whenever we are finished. Very Happy

Go for it! I almost always have a pair of socks on the go.

Here's my socks for the KAL.

Found this yarn earlier and it's a little thicker than regular sock yarn. I worked them up with #5 dpn's.
I decided to do the toes, heels and cuffs in white.

I think they turned out pretty snazzy for my second pair of socks. Not sure who they are going to for Christmas.

Went and bought more sock yarn yesterday. I'm showing great restraint and only purchasing 2 skeins at a time. One pair at a time.
