Hi alll, my name is Sandy and I hale from Hampton, VA. I am a new knitter and am learning to knit socks, wow what a challenge. I have completed several simple lace scarves, fingerless gloves, and some hats. What a wonderful group you have here.

Welcome aboard Sandy.

I love knitting socks, but still remember the problems I had with my first one. If you get stuck, feel free to ask, and we'll do our best to help you out.

Like Katherine says above, we all remember starting socks. I got as far as two pair. There were several incarnations of my first sock, then once successful there was a second. Then a pair that I had wanted to do with a pearl/crystal ankle bracelet around one ankle. Then I was done. It was just too much minutia in the heel for me.
